Workshops + Coaching

Workshops

A series of creative movement workshops developed from Cynthia’s recent performance projects. Open to performers and non performers, workshops involve a warmup, improvisation, learned movement and writing. An opportunity to drop into the internal world, and to explore and share movement on your own and with others, the workshops are now being offered within a variety of themes and community venues.

The VEIL workshops, initially developed in India, were most recently held on New York’s lower east side where artists from a variety of fields gathered. Exploring feelings and ideas surrounding forgiveness, group material was incorporated into the project, and four participants joined the performance’s ending ritual. Lani Miller, NY Insight meditation teacher, co-led one session.

‘I really enjoyed the whole process. There is something very special in your piece that resonated within me and at times brought me to almost tears... I was still thinking about many of the elements of ‘VEIL’ that brought me to a different level of experiencing my own reality. Thank You. It's a magical piece and I am so grateful to have been part of it.’ — Hector Canonge, artist. Workshop | performance participant 2019
